People cannot hear me from my iPad when I FaceTime or zoom

People cannot hear me when i use Zoom or FaceTime on my iPad Pro. Initially it was fine and worked and then, surprisingly, just as the warranty expired it stopped working. I have tried all the suggestions like voice recording in memo and playback etc but it still does not work.
