Question

If a physical sim is locked with carrier can we use the esim with different carriers will it both work

I’m planning to buy a iPhone 12 pro max but I seen some of the phone is with Carrier locked

but my old iPhone I hv esim which is completely different carrier I will still able to use my old esim in the new phone which is carrier locked.

iPhone 11 Pro Max

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to use Dual SIM but you are concerned the iPhone 12 you order may be locked. To use Dual SIM your iPhone will need to be unlocked or both plans would need to be from the same carrier. Learn more here: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM.
