Word processor

My daughter currently has a Microsoft computer and uses Word. Was thinking of switching to a Mac. Would she still have the option to use word program on the Mac?

Yes, she would. Microsoft Office 365 is available as a subscription or a Microsoft Office 2019 as a one-time purchase.

I hope this helps.

Yes, Word for Mac has been available for many many years. Current versions are Office for Mac 2019 or you can subscribe to Office 365. In short, there are options available to you.

Many others use LibreOffice which is a free web based clone of MS Word, something also to consider.

In addition, all Macs come with Pages, which is Apple's word processor. It is not MS Word but it works extremely well and will read and write MS Word files just fine.
