Apple Usb C to VGA adaptor stopped working after Mac OS 10.14 upgrade

I was using an Apple UBS C to VGA adapter with my Samsung monitor. After upgrading to Mac OS 10.14 ( tried 10.15 as well), when I connect the VGA adapter, both the screens keeps going on and off. The flashing/flickering stops after like 1-2 minutes, but then other screens come up, but the VGA monitor just says off. I tried with different VGA monitor and with one ViewSonic monitor, even though the it keeps doing this one and off for 1-2 minutes, it come online and can use it. However, since that is a very old monitor, it has very bad resolution. In any case, since this is an Apple adapter, I assume it should work even after upgrade.

I had tried all these, but they don't work. I bought the Apple VGA adapter as I assumed Mac will always support adapters it sell. Did not think that some minor update will break it..

Do you have any other suggestion..

Are you using more than one kind of adapter with your setup? Specifically something like the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter, as the two are not intended to work together as outlined at: Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac - Apple Support

If no, then we would recommend that you Contact Apple Support for additional assistance.
