Big Sur not showing Airplay icon in toolbar

Hi friends,

I'm kinda confused as to why the little Airplay toolbar icon doesn't show up, even when "Show mirroring options" is checked. Now I have to go all the way to system preferences and drill into that to change over to the separate display.

Are they planning to fix this? If not, can you please make it like it once was, but better?

Thanks! And we love our Apple machines.

Howdy,

Looks like the AirPlay menu has been replaced by the Screen Mirroring menu.

From Use AirPlay on your Mac

Show whatever’s on your MacBook Air on the big screen using AirPlay screen mirroring.

To show that in your Menu Bar, go to System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar > Screen Mirroring > [ √ ] Show in Menu Bar.

Or you can drag "Screen Mirroring" from the Control Center to where you'd like on the Menu Bar.
