How do I turn off the microphone?

I opened my Sys Prefs to use dictation. Now I have the microphone floating on my desktop and I can't turn it off. Any one have any idea?

iMac 27″ 5K, 11.0

Try turning off Voice Control. System Preferences > Accessibility > Voice Control.

That worked. I used to (Catalina) to be able to turn it off/on with a keyboard command. I've looked to see if there is a short cut but empty handed. I suppose I'd have to create a shortcut? Thanks for the help.

You're welcome. FWIW, there is a command you can enable in Voice Control, Turn off Voice Control.
