I'm guessing this is what you are seeing? How to share your Wi-Fi password from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support I don't see anything about turning that feature off, but it would seem that you are in proximity of a device someone is trying to access the network, while on that network. Is that correct? I'm thinking that someone's phone may be configured with Ask to Join Networks, and their device is trying to join the network you are on.
