i have the new iphone11 and i simply touched it to change my music while in the shower. now it’s acting completely crazy from water damage. i have it turned off hoping it will dry out but this is bizarre. my mom has the same phone and took pictures underwater? what is different about mine?

I've seen many forums about how if you leave your phone turned off it will eventually dry and not cause any damage as long as it is turned off?
I actually called Apple, and it turns out it’s just a display problem. When I got my phone screen fixed, they did something wrong causing my phone to glitch. Your answers honestly seemed rude and stressed me out.
“Dry off by itself”? Whether there’s water on the outside of the iPhone is irrelevant. Even whether water remains on the inside is irrelevant. Damage is nearly certain under any circumstances.

Your mom was exceedingly lucky. She may well suffer iPhone consequences later. You were not as lucky.
Do you know if it will dry off by itself? I have left it turned off and it is getting less glitchy and it still works just fine but it is just a glitchy screen.

I've been looking into this, and was wondering if there could be anything that happened other than water damage? The phone screen is just glitching up and down but it still completely usable.
"Other than water damage"? Presumably you mean "in addition to water damage". The answer is irrelevant.
