turning on Chinese Mandarin subtitles with Apple TV movies

When I access the movie Greyhound on Apple TV using my mobile device, I can play using simplified Mandarin subtitles. But when I access the exact same movie on my television using the Apple TV app, a lot of subtitles are there except for the Chinese ones. What’s the reason for this and how do I fix it?

I typically have on the subtitles for English but if I'm watching a movie in English & they switch to another language for a few minutes, it won't show the subtitles so I have no idea what they're saying. When that happens I turn off the subtitles or switch them to Auto instead of English to see if that helps but nothing! I'm left in the dark for however long they're speaking in a different language. English subtitles to Apple TV+ app foreign language film Apple TV on Android TV I'm 24hrs new to this, but I'm watching an Apple TV foreign film and need closed captioning as well as subtitles. The language in the audio is English, Hebrew, and Farsi? I've tried CC as well as SDH. SDH presents in Asian characters instead of the English language alphabet. CC gets me nothing. I don't see where I can change the translation or SDH to English language. I'm using iPhone 11, HomeKit via Airplay , projected onto Sony Bravia (Android TV) via Roku (because this was the only way I could get this to work.) Apple TV App
