Hi. I was just charged $4.99 for one month of Apple TV+ when I thought I got it for free with the purchase of a new Apple device.

In order to get the Apple TV+ year offer with a new eligible Apple device, you have to redeem that year offer. Accepting the regular 7 day trial for Apple TV+, or the one month trial for Apple One will not get you the free year. Waiting too long (3 months or more) will invalidate your offer. Previous or current subscribers cannot redeem the offer.
