IOS 13.3.1 losing contacts

A recent occurrence. I lose some contacts. Open contacts and they are not there. All I see is their phone number. When I click on the “I” a dialog box that appears where I normally either add or edit the contact, is not there. I cannot edit or add this number to my contacts. And this isn’t happening with all my contacts, just a couple of them. Unfortunately, these 2 contacts are frequent contacts. Any ideas of what might be happening? Thanks in advance.
