I have a iPhone 5 I need to use as a backup to my 6S Plus. When I try to restore from a backup dated 12/13/20 and received a message the IOS is down level and can not be restored. HELP!

Trying to restore an old iPhone 5 to use as a backup to my 6S Plus which was dropped into water today :(

While trying to restore the 5 from iCloud backup, I received a message, “No iCloud backups are compatible with the version of iOS (10.3.3) on this iPhone.

Read this to explain further why you are seeing such a message - Restoring an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch backup from iCloud or from a computer when a later version of iOS or iPadOS is required - Apple Support.
