iPhone 12 Pro Cyan/Blue Screen Issue

I have the iPhone 12 Pro (updated to iOS 14.2) and my phone will occasionally glitch a bright/vibrant cyan color for several seconds. I tried screen-shotting the glitch (like that would even help) and my screen reverted back to normal. If I am in an app, usually the issue resolves itself when I close the app or press the power button, as if nothing happened. Not sure why this is happening, but if anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears!

My phone just did the same thing, while I was charging it. I closed the app I was on, and it didn’t make a difference. I also locked and then unlocked my screen, still had the cyan tint. I also took it off the charger to see if it made a difference, (it didn’t).

I assumed I had accidentally turned something on in visual accessibility. I turned on white point and changed the %, and it went away. I turned it off again and then the cyan tint came back. So I turned it on again, and the screen was normal. Then I proceeded to turn white point off again, and the screen didn’t have a cyan tint... I don’t know what happened.

This is what I did—

settings

Accessibility

Vision-> Display and text size

I turned on Reduce white point and changed the %, and it went away.

Same issue occurred while replying on WhatsApp. White colours turned to dark blue, came out and every App or Home Screen was the same. Restarted the phone and it fixed. By the sounds of things this isn’t going to go away and it looks like it’s a problem Apple are struggling to solve if it was first reported in Oct/Nov last year.

i repeat, for such an expensive phone this is disappointing.

I want to say something. I don't think this is a real hardware issue, certainly not on the display side.

IMO, this is a software bug related to interpreting surrounding colors/lights and trying to change the screen temp to compensate.

this is also a similar issue to Airpods pro over-correcting ANC and causing clicks as a result of these edge cases.

It is entirely possible that in some edge case, the sensor returns incorrect or invalid data, causing the screen to try to overcompensate.

same thing happened to me about an hour ago. iphone 12 pro 256 gb 97% just had it 8 days.

i was on safari (ikea site) when i looked away from my phone, when i looked back all the white has turned cyan, i thought i simply had selected all text by mistake but no, it would go back after. 3 minutes so i reset my phone and it went back to normal.

I'm hoping this won't end up never being fixed as i'm sure we all didn't pay so much money just for this stuff to happen.

(sorry if this sounded awkward english is not my first language)

Purchased my iPhone 12 Pro back in December. Magsafe wireless charger was not working after a few weeks of usage. It turned out to be a hardware issue so Apple gave me a replacement phone with a lead time of 1 month.

Just 2 weeks in from getting the new phone in March, I'm getting the same cyan/blue tint issue you mentioned on my display. It's happening intermittently at least once a day. This is frustrating having another hardware problem with the new iPhone. What is up, Apple? Tried reaching out to Apple Support but no fix is offered yet.
