Are kext's still used on M1 systems?

I found the following kexts under /Library and I was wondering how they are used (I migrated from an x86 MBPR 2013). What do I do with them?

Why is SamsungPortableSSDDriver.kext even there?

/Extensions/IOHIDFamily.kext

./Extensions/SamsungPortableSSDDriver.kext

./Extensions/HighPointIOP.kext

./Extensions/HighPointRR.kext

And a large number under: ./InstallerSandboxes/.PKInstallSandboxManager/

Control Centre Needs to be Updated I have just upgraded my 2020 MacBook Pro to run Big Sur. Since doing so, my Control Centre now says "Control Centre needs to be updated" and that I should contact the developer of the software. Isn't that Apple? I cant Airdrop from one Apple device to another anymore, which I could do when I was running Catalina. Maybe I have old software running on this device but I am not sure what it is or how to remove it.

How to find and delete .kext legacy extensions? Old legacy extensions not compatible with future Os update. No longer is there an “Extensions” folder in System Library. An example: soundflower.kext?

sudo find / -name *kext
