Are kext's still used on M1 systems?

I found the following kexts under /Library and I was wondering how they are used (I migrated from an x86 MBPR 2013). What do I do with them?

Why is SamsungPortableSSDDriver.kext even there?

./Apple/System/Library/Extensions/AppleMobileDevice.kext

./Apple/System/Library/Extensions/AppleKextExcludeList.kext

/Extensions/IOHIDFamily.kext

./Extensions/SamsungPortableSSDDriver.kext

./Extensions/AppleMobileDevice.kext

./Extensions/SoftRAID.kext

./Extensions/HighPointIOP.kext

./Extensions/HighPointRR.kext

And a large number under: ./InstallerSandboxes/.PKInstallSandboxManager/
