my mac as installed and restarted on its own with third party software and i saw the notification that it may not be safe please advise how to remove it or what is to be done

my mac installed and restarted my pc after which i received a notification saying that a third party software has been installed with suggestion to contact apple support as the software can be not compatible to mac software was advised to contact and take a help that if need to remove that and how

please help

Usually anything that pops up and says contact Apple is a scam, Apple do not operate in that manner.


Did the pop up contain a phone number for you to call, Apple would never do that.


It is just somebody after your money.


Ignore it.


Download and run the free version of, https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

And be more careful which websites you visit.
