I have very slow boot times on iMac 2017 1TB fusion. After upgrading to Big Sur it's horrible. Nothing fixed it not even the new 11.1 update. I'm very frustrated because it is an expensive & professional machine

Of course I'm referring to the boot time, this is the topic of the thread. It's clear that a Mac with 24 GB RAM, after giving to it enough time to cache everything, it can ran very very fast.
Is File Vault enabled on your system ? I'm asking this because with File Vault enabled usually the time elapsed between the power button and the login screen should be few seconds.

Anyone tried macOS Big Sur 11.4 which was just released? Does it solve the very slow boot on Fusion Drive issue? Thanks.
It's gotten worse for me since 11.3. Now my computer crashes once every two days: It suddenly says the drive is "full" and freaks out (despite there being 750GB free).

Crashing. Boot times might be *slightly* better than they were.
Then I think you better start a new thread. It sounds like your Mac has a problem totally unrelated to the extremely slow boot times of Big Sur on Fusion Drive systems (and some others).
