iPhone 12 mini battery issues

I see I'm not the only one on here having significant problems with their new iPhone batteries. Does anyone know if I should take my phone to the genius bar to have it looked at or will Apple release an update to hopefully fix these battery issues?

Aside from the battery drain, I've also noticed my phone gets pretty warm when doing simple things like scrolling through instagram or just just using safari/google (even when I'm connected to wifi). And it gets VERY hot while using fast charging (I've only done it once because it got so hot it freaked me out).
