on ipad: 1) delete fitness app. 2) settings- log out of iCloud. 3) log back into iCloud 4) enter App Store (log in)- 5) re download fitness app- FIXED

i think some who used the link going around prematurely d/l app and caused conflict.

This post perfectly sums up my Apple Fitness+ experience. So far, Apple Fitness+ won't pair to my Apple iWatch to my Apple iPhone, and my Apple iPhone won't pair Apple Fitness+ to my Apple AirPlay-ready TV. Basically, the entire system does not work AND is limited.

I was on the phone with Apple support for (2) hours with this issue and it's still unsolved. We tried all of the items below and none of them worked. A ticket was put into the techs so they could figure it out...Very sad bc I was so looking forward to this working...

Yes, tried all of them and then some. Also exhaustively researched on line and didn’t find much. Quite the quandary as it stumped the Apple tech folks. Just hope they fix it soon bc it’s too hard to workout watching your phone... 😩

Tried the steps in the "Fixed" post and not I can't download the fitness app at all on my iPad (7th Gen). The hardware is roughly a year old and the app store states "This app requires specific features not available on this device". Then below in the compatability drop down it says "Works on this iPad"...Seriously? This needs to be fixed. NOW!

I did this last night. Unpaired the watch and restored it from a backup. And still it did not work. I hope some Apple developers are looking I to the code for the iPad app. Something needs to be changed.

OMG thank you so much for this piece of advice. I tried it and it worked. I launched the home app and then tried the fitness app it didn’t work at first so I turned off the iPad and then restarted it. Once it was restarted I tried the fitness app and it worked.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having such a painful experience. I spent two hours yesterday updating the software on my Apple Watch and trying to figure out a way to cast the video from my phone to MacBook. Seems like it should be pretty straightforward but apparently the only way to do it is to have an Apple TV. incredibly obnoxious!! Now I can't get the fitness+ app to find my watch. Clearly I won't be subscribing after the free trial. Too bad cause I like Bakari and used to do his workouts when he was with ClassPass Live.

I also tried both using the Home app and deleting and logging out of iCloud solutions. After logging back in the iCloud now I can't even use the fitness app on my iPad Pro which worked before. The option to log into the Fitness app is greyed out.

I was able to finally log into the iPad and connect one (user) Apple Watch to it. I'm still having trouble connecting my Apple Watch and have to resort to the small iPhone screen. I hope Apple is pushing an update for the iPads soon.

Rant aside from the above post, my issue is Fitness+ was working fine connecting to both my iPhone and Apple TV so I could exercise from my big TV. I then tried to connect it to my iPad and everything went south. Not I can’t get my apple Wartch Series 6 to connect to anything. I have an iPhone 12Pro, Apple TV4k, 3rd Gen iPad all running the lates OS. Tried all the solutions listed in this post to no avail. In MHO this seems to have something o do with the iPad because my phone and AppleTV were working fine until I attempted to connect to the iPad. I do hope this gets resolved soon as like the guy above said why spend $$$ if it doesn’t work.... Maybe consider rebate until it gets solved.

• If I do not have any devices to setup in the Home app, will this method still work? Do you just delete the Home app and download/install again from the app store and just launch it even if you have no devices to add?

Completely agree with sentiments here. Aside from fitness plus not recognizing the brand new Apple watch6 that is paired to the device running the app, the fact that we cannot screen mirror fitness videos onto our tv is a disgraceful money grab. Not to mention a main feature that drove me to overpay for an Apple Watch in the first place. Deceptive advertising at best.

I have tried every single solution here and nothing works. I’m glad your solution worked for you, but I can’t get it to work at all for me! While the Apple Fitness+ is cool. I will be cancelling the free trial and waiting for them to update so that we can psynch it with our iPad and mirror it to a tv. Expecting you to do a whole workout on your phone is incredibly ridiculous. I’m beyond disappointed to say the least!
