I am just jumping on here to point out that it is disappointing when an Apple Community Specialists provides a generic reply to a question. This is not the first post that I have seen the "Please check out these helpful links...".

Unfortunately, there are only two ways around the Airplay issue: 1) Purchase a new Apple TV (Fitness+ is included in the software), 2) Apple creates a software update that corrects the issue.

Apple knows this. I just wish Apple would be honest with what has always been a loyal customer group because, after all, they do make great products.

I agree. Before searching forums now, I was on a call w/Apple support few days ago and they basically said you need Apple TV to make it work after being transferred and then given generic answer. They didn't even mention that others have brought it up and they are aware of it. I actually forgot that I'm in a trial of Apple TV and still couldn't get the workout to mirror (the sound played through the TV speakers and the screen just had a play button).

Same iphone was able to use airplay on same 75" LG TV for classpass workout though. As much as I like the Fitness+ trial that came with my AppleWatch, I doubt I'm willing to pay for it given the limitations.

I’m upset I can’t airplay to my TV as well. I can’t even get the app on my iPad as it’s too old. A phone screen is much too small to follow along and it’s a setup for injury
