Cardio Fitness doesn't have Apple Watch as a data source

I update my iphone and apple watch yesterday. But the cardio fitness says no data. When I checked I noticed that it does not have any datasources. My Apple Watch was not added automatically. I cannot find a way to add it manually as well. What can be done?

I thought of unpairing and pairing again. But then it will not have my previous data right?

Ok, my i s working now. What I did...

I've started my training "Walk outside" outside with my iPhone (iPhone 11 pro with 14.3 iOS) with me. Walked only about 1 km (9 minutes) and after ending this trening, cardio fitness on Health App on my iPhone is visible.

I hope this will work for you as well.

Cheers

Not precisely responsive to your post, but here is my issue: I have used my NordicTrack Incline Trainer nearly every single day since I got it six months ago. I used to go to my LA Fitness regularly pre-Covid. My heart rate while working out averages from 111-140. My resting pulse rate and BP are great ( I take BP med for that). But my Cardio Fitness continues to show as "low", under 18. I think I am in very good shape for a 66 year old. 5'9, 199 lbs at this time (goal weight is 172).

Any ideas why this thing is showing me as low? I feel fine and have no trouble doing strenuous hiking workouts on my incline trainer, never out of breath or "huffing and puffing." I do have my iWatch on pretty tight so I know it is making good contact.

Thanks all, Gary

Your incline trainer won’t be used to calculate Cardio Fitness so I am guess it’s getting the readings from outdoor walking. Unless these walks are fast, your heart rate is likely not going high enough to get a good read. I would suggest trying a brisk 20 minute walk and see if your score doesn’t improve. Let us know how it works out and good luck.

Thank you for response. I believe it is my Apple Watch that is being used to calculate my cardio fitness. I didn't really think it mattered if I was walking indoors on a treadmill or outdoors on the sidewalk. The article was very helpful! I'm still confused because my walks on the treadmill are all more than 20 minutes and fairly brisk 3+ MPH and my heart rate usually gets to at least the 120s. Maybe I am selecting the wrong workout type on my Apple Watch Workout app and then again maybe I am not challenging myself enough
