cannot edit/divide clip/export movie from iPhone 12mini in Quicktime

Hi, starting (I suppose) since a couple of weeks I cannot edit/divide clip/export .MOV movies shooted & imported form my iPhone 12mini. I've tried deleting all Quicktime preferences with no success. iMac is late 2013 with last version of Catalina. I also exported in .

mp4 the original movie with Handbrake and then tried to divide clip again in Quicktime. Nothing to do. :(

iMovie 10.2.1 - This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera. Hi, I am using iMovie 10.2.1 and completed a TON of edits on a project and went to export it and one 18 minute long screen recording from my iPhone's screen has a little camera symbol on the media indicating it did not completely import I guess. I found a trick on the web where you select all your clips in the timeline and use edit->cut, then delete the missing clip from your event media and re-import it from your iPhone, then use edit->paste to restore all your edits, BUT when I do the re-import, the re-imported screen recording off my iPhone still shows up with the little camera symbol. I've tried importing that clip into Photos and using it from there but it's not associated with the edits I made, it's just a new media file. I tried exporting that clip from Photos to my Downloads folder and importing it from there but it's not associated with the edits, it's just a new media file. I tried re-starting iMovie. I tried re-starting my iMac. Apparently you used to be able to export your movie using Theater but that no longer is an option. Before I start all over again... does anyone have any idea how I can get my clip imported properly from my iPhone? Thanks in advance, Brad

Video footage blacked out when importing from iPhone XS to FCPX When I import media form my iPhone XS into FCPX, sometimes - on rare occasions, but enough for it to cause me problems - the footage comes through black out. The audio is fine. Happens if I drag the clips in or I cmd + I them in. I can see this is a problem a lot of people have said they have: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251287838 It never got resolved. I'm using Catalina with FCPX 10.4.8 This has only happened to me since upgrading, but could be a coincidence? The footage doesn't work if I drag it into my timeline from the downloads folder, or if I put it into the library first. Also, even if I create a new project (same library) or even a new library the importing doesn't work. Still blacked out. To note, this works for most clips from ym iPhone most of the time. Just occasionally this happens. The video is question plays fine (audio and visuals) on my MacBook Pro outside of FCPX, so it's an import issue. Can you help?
