Trackpad showing up as HID-compliant Mouse. Tried replacing driver with the bootcamp driver, but it will not take it. It says best drive already installed. Nothing happens when I use the trackpad. Have to plug in external mouse to get any functionality.

It was working just for pointer and single click. Trackpad menu was not in the control panel. I originally tried to use an after market driver to fix it (Trackpad ++). It did not help at all...actually made it completely stop working. I uninstalled it, then tried repairing the drivers with the Bootcamp driver pack...still does not work at all. Doesn't point, click, or anything.

You will need to remove all the remnants of Trackpad++.
Any suggestions on how I might do that?
Thanks. I just decided to wipe it and re-install everything after I upgraded to Big Sur. Seems to be working fine now.
