Are you saying this Mac is being managed by an MDM? If so, then return the Mac and get your money back. Obviously this person did not properly prepare this Mac for sale. Only the original school or business can remove the Mac from being managed by an MDM.

FYI, another thing to check when buying a used Mac is to try Option Booting it to make sure an EFI Firmware Password is not set as that requires the original owner to disable.

When purchasing a used computer you should always perform a clean install of the OS by first erasing the whole physical drive before installing the OS.
