How to Bring files back to original folder?

Hello,

Recently, I have a problem with all my recent files. I really do not know how to recover all of them into the original folder.

I have a lot of folders and specific files in each folder on my desktop (Mac). Today, I clicked on the recent folder in finder, and then selected all the files and brought all of them into the new folder by accident. How can I brought all files back to original folder? Maybe I can find original folder in logs or in terminal (last activity)? Could you help me with this?

Thanks so much for any feedback.

Hello miroslaw001,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that you accidentally moved files into one folder and would like to return them to their original order. If you have a Time Machine backup, you can restore your content to the order it was once in.
