Btw. there is another big threat about that issue in the Apple Support Community here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252151864
I had a long chat with the Apple support and he tested my phone with the Apple inspector and a battery check but he can't find something wrong. Then I had a chat with his boss and after that I got a call from Apple from a guy from the Apple care team (I don't have Apple care). We are talking long about that issue and in the end he gave me to tips:
https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
He told me that Apple takes care about the feedback issues and when a lot of people writing a feedback for the same issue, the developers taking care to have a look and try to fix it. But it's only necessary over this ways (Bug request, feedback formular, get in contact with the support). He told me that they ignore the Apple Support Communities for that. a
It's weird, right? I was using an 11Pro that I updated to 11.3, and as usual for the first 2 or 3 days the battery drained. That straightened itself out. But I updated to 11.3 on the iPhone 12 Pro, and the battery drain was for a good 2 weeks before I called Support. They screen shared, had me connect the phone to my Macbook, update failed due to "software bug", and I factory reset from my computer. I don't know if that made a difference or not. But, I have no more bugs and it updated to 11.4 without any problems. And I'm not having a battery drain problem.
Ive been trying everything and barely have anything running on my phone and cant seem to improve the situation. I have an IPhone SE running 14.3. Its not a new device and the battery health is at 90%. Instead of putting it on a charger at night, I charged it fully before I went to bed at 11:45 last night and ensured there were no open apps. Got up at 7 am with battery charge state at 57%. ( 6% per hour on standby) The graph shows no change for about two hours and then a straight line down to the 57% so it really drained at about 9 % per hour on standby. I was thinking of buying a new phone but I’m not wasting my money on a new IPhone to have the same problem. I love owning an iPhone and how it integrates with my iPad but I'm a pragmatic person and if i have to switch to an Android product to get a phone that i can use periodically during the day without a need to repeatedly charge it, then thats what ill do. Ill just hold off for a software update or two and see if Apple fixes this.
Sure it is possibel - for a short time you can downgrade. Simply download the firmware file on yourself and install it via iTunes. If you want to install your backup after downgrade, you have to chance the version number in the backup.
If you go outside this forum, you will see that it is a much larger problem than being reported within the Apple community. There is obviously a significant problem with the IOS 14.3 and 14.4 updates that apple will need to somehow address. This issue appears to be occurring across all of their old and new phones and also appears somewhat random. For example, my wife, duaughter and I all have a 6S. It didn't affect my wifes, but it did affect mine and my daughters exactly the same at the same time. We've tried all the suggestions, our batteries are both at 100%, and the phones have become almost unusable. Those who are not experiencing the issues are lucky, but for those of us that are and have previously had good luck, it is extremely frustrating.
I’ve the same issue in iPhone 12 right after 14.3 update , battery drains around 35 to 40 % overnight , also it doesn’t showing which app uses all this battery
Can someone fix this? It’s driving me crazy. I can’t talk on the phone more then 20 minutes because the battery drops from 80% to 20% and then one minute and it’s 10%. It’s been 2 days.
New iPhone 12 mini (18 days).
Battery health: 100%.
iOS: 14.3
Overnight drain: 20-30% every night.
e.g.
Again this night...20% drop. From 71 to 51%.
No used apps.
Turned off Wi-Fi, Mobile data, Bluetooth, Location Services.
Turned on Low Power Mode.
iPhone 12 mini:
With 4G at night / 20-30 % drain
With 3G at night / 4-5% drain
I’m having the same problem on iPhone 12pro
Yes me too!! 😡😡
Yeah, ever since I updated, I have to have my SE plugged in all the time, otherwise it goes from 100% to 1% in less than 2 hours IN STANDBY.
Today I realized, that the battery quality is one percent more down. Since I upgraded to iOS 14.3 I get down from 95% to 92% in less than three weeks. Before I lost 1% in 4-6 month.
It amazes me that people expect miracles from a consumable part of the device.
Do what a half billion other users do:
Charge it when you sleep.
Since more than half of iPhone users have done the update we would expect more reports of issues.
It's just users saying me too without understanding how to keep the battery in proper maintenance.
