How long does apply “hold money” release back into my account.

I have been frustrated because when i sent my cracked phone into apple and ask to replace for a new one, they told me they had to put a $900 hold until the old phone gets back to them. Its been almost 2 month since everything has been done and still they cant give me a date when my money will come back .... all they have told me was call and ask my bank! But the bank also dont see anything on thier end! Help please if you have gone through something like this.
