Printing to Canon imageCLASS LBP6230dw on M1 Mac

I was successfully able to do this.

  1. Setup wireless between your printer and router/modem.

a. hold wireless button until it blinks, then press wps button on router/modem.

  1. Download the latest drivers from Canon's website.
  2. If you are on Big Sur 11.1 the installer will complain that it can't install the software
  3. 'Open' the package with Pacifist and then click 'Install' within the Pacifist window.
  4. Add your printer in the printer preferences and select the driver from the list.

Voila, you can print to this laser printer from your M1 Mac.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1
