Ever since my iPhone 7 upgraded to 14.2 the battery depletes very fast. What gives?

Your iPhone's battery has reached the critical point of its life, and it can have unpredictable behaviors.

I would:

• create a full backup of your iPhone as soos an possible, to avoid any surprise
• make an appointment at an Apple Store and have your battery replaced.

Sorry no. Apple doesn't support downgrading.

What is your maximum capacity percentage in Settings>Battery>Battery health?

in addition, the changes made to the calendar app are awful. Why change what works, what users are used to? I'm asking Apple here - control your programmers. I had five different Data Departments reporting to me for decades and one thing I learned very quickly is programmers don't have any idea how the real world uses their applications.

You're not addressing Apple here. We, just users like you, are not aware of Apple decisions/future plans.
