How can I disable night mode / enhanced lighting when recording a video?

It seems like night mode, or some sort of enhanced lighting is automatically applied when capturing video. It’s easy to toggle off when taking a photo, but isn’t an option when recording a standard video. When I’m trying to capture the lower lighting of a location while in video mode, the lighting is always automatically enhanced.
