Samsung SyncMaster 2233 BW not connecting on new mac mini OS 11.1 via HDMI to DVI adapter. This worked on previous Mac Mini 2012 High Sierra.

Apparently there is currently a major issue with M1 Mac mini ability to connect to DVI monitors via HDMI output and HDMI->DVI adapter.

i can’t use my DELL WFP 2707 with the HDMI output. I may buy a USB-C->DVI adapter for this purpose, using one of the 2 Thunderbolt ports. Too bad!

Hoping this problem gets resolved quickly.

1. Try updating the M1 to macOS 11.1
2. Try using a USB-C to DVI adapter.

I don't have an M1 yet, but it's looking like I'm also going to have to replace my older dual Samsungs to get an M1.

On that note, I'm serious considering replacing one of my 2012 Mac Mini's with a 2018 Mac Mini model and then maybe the other with an M1 sometime down the road.
