Dropping Ethernet Connection on Big Sur

Seems like I don't have the latest script? I see nothing in the code that would write a file called "restarted_en0.log"

BTW, when I type "which ifconfig" , I get "/sbin/ifconfig" as you hoped.

Seems to be working now, I "tested" it by unplugging the ethernet cable from my Mac Mini, and now it generates the restarted_en0.log. Plugging it back in, that file is no longer updated.

I have this same problem. It drops after 15min. up to over 2 hours. I have a iMac Retina 5k, 27 inch 2017

I have had this installed for a few days now, and it appears to have restored the dropped connection at least twice! Thanks much for doing this al p bundy !

11.3 is no improvement. Big Sur is the Windows Vista of this decade.

I have the same problem with my macbook pro 2016, Big Sur 11.4

Always have to unplug/plug the usb.

I have a noname adapter, but it's also the case (or even worse) with my CalDigit TS3Plus.

Is this bug of Big Sur network interfaces regular drop down on timeout fixed now?

Which version of Big Sur corrected this bug?

I'm going to upgrade to 11.5 to see what happens with the ethernet issue

Interesting, Steffel -- does it happen seemingly at random, or are there certain traffic types that trip it more than others?

ALL versions of Big Sur. Of course we always try the latest version in hope they finally corrected this or these bugs.

Now on Version 11.5.2 and still no working built in Ethernet. Oh Apple, that's really poor!

Did Wireshark turn up anything interesting?
