Calm app on Apple is no longer playing music

Hi all - I’d love your feedback. I am on an Apple 12 pro. Previously my calm app worked as it is supposed to where you load a playlist and can continue working in other apps. With the music playing. Now it only works if you stay in the app. Is there a fix? Is this an Apple thing or the app? I would like to send feedback to the right organisation.
