Streaming tv

I got myself a hdmi adaptor, so I can hook up my phone to the tv. Some things stream fine like you tube. I pay for a Disney app and Peacock. Sometimes they don’t stream. Some times they do. The screen mirrors fine. So why is it that some shows don’t work?

IPhone HDMI Adapter & Apple TV+ Mirroring Hello, I have an official Apple iPhone / HDMI adapter plugged into my TV. Netflix / Prime etc mirror successfully and play so I know the HDCP handshaking is OK. When I try and watch AppleTV+ I can stream things I’ve bought (I.e in the library but not downloaded) yet when I try any Apple shows ( Ted Lasso for example) I get the Apple TV+ logo and then the generic “There was a problem loading this content” message. Any one got any ideas? Thanks

Apple TV app restrictions playing to a TV I want to watch House of Dragon series on my smart tv. Subscribed to AppleTV and bought the series. It plays on my iphone via AppleTV app but refuses to stream or mirror to the proper tv? The app on the tv itself doesn’t have a section for bought content. Other content on the phone mirror across via an hdmi adapter fine but not the only one I want to watch??? Losing the will with it all. Any ideas?

iPhone screen mirroring to Apple TV Screen mirroring from iPhone 7 to Apple TV (tvOS14.2) while watching video from Safari doesn’t work, is it normal, should it work? Videos first screen is showing on TV but it doesn’t play. Nothing happens when push play.

I would expect mirroring to work or not work per app. It is up to the developer/publisher of the app to support mirroring or not. As content provider, they can not allow it if they so choose.
