Ipad Air 2 - shadow of app remaining on screen and colour glitch

Out of the blue the screen colours on my ipad air 2 have gone a bit odd and I also seem to have a shadow remaining on the screen of the last app that was open. I've seen a similar question on here and the response received was just to contact apple support and having done that the person was told that they couldn't find the issue. Has anyone else had this on an ipad air 2 and if so what did they do to resolve?
