Locating application support folder

I’ve been trying to follow the Apple support directions for uninstalling Final Cut Pro X after it froze up my computer for two days. When I click the option key in Finder to try to find the Application Support folder, nothing happens. Are there more updated directions?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

File shows in System Information but Not Finder I recently tried installing Team Fortress 2 via Steam, however, tried to delete it after learning it was unsupported on my device. I searched the name directly in finder, found it, and deleted it. Then I checked System Information, and the application was still there. I could not show it in finder or delete it, and it did not appear when I searched for it in finder. Even after restarting, it still showed in System information but not in Finder. Monterey 12.6.8 lost system folder on desk top? installe update Monterey 12.6.8 and the system icon disepered from the desktop and is only accessible in the finder folder.

Are you looking at the ago menu? If you are you will see the Library while holding the Option key. When you release Option the Library option will disappear.

I was referring to the instructions here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202412

When I press the the option key in Finder nothing happens.

The go menu is in the sidebar, right?

Not usually. The Go menu is in the menu bar at the top of the Finder screen.

The Application Support folder is in your hime Library. In the Finder hold the Option key and use the Go menu to access the Library folder.
