Games (in our case Roblox) with iPad: is there a way to make the "wasd" keys work on a keyboard?

Hi,

we have 3 kids who play Roblox all the time. We have the app/the game on the new iPad Air (4th Gen) now but we can not make the "wasd" keys work (those keys are used to turn and move the figures in many games) on our bluetooth keyboard which works for typing on the iPad. I also connected a USB keyboard via cable. The same thing here: typing works but the wasd keys do not work. I heard that there is a workaround (switch control, camera connection kit). Does anybody know anything? Thank You in advance.
