Unwanted bluetooth connection to iOS 14, no option to forget

I have an unwanted auto connection to bluetooth on my new iPhone 12. See attached screenshot. The info button never appears to the right of the name so there is no way to 'forget' this unknown device. restarts etc. no help. Anyone have an idea why this occurs and how to forget such a device?

Hi bsrock40,

We see you're having issues with removing a particular Bluetooth accessory. Being able to control what is and isn't connected is certainly important. We'd like to help out.

Have you happened to install any new apps around the time of this appearing? If so, try removing the most recent app(s), and see if that affects things. We'll also want to have you try checking in Settings > General for either a 'Profiles' or 'Mobile Device Management' feature. If you see either option, tap on it, and see if there is a profile installed. If so, this may affect some functionality.

We also advise ensuring the device is up-to-date. The latest version at the moment is iOS 14.3. You can check the installed version at Settings > General > About. If you need to update, we'd advise backing up to iCloud or a computer ahead of time.

You may also try disconnecting Bluetooth from Control Center, and then turn it back on. You can fully turn off Bluetooth from Settings > Bluetooth, and then wait a moment and turn it back on.

Lastly, a restart of the iPhone can often help with some anomalies. You can try that with these steps: Restart your iPhone

Take care!

Thank you very much for your reply. I contacted Apple support via Chat today. After much back and forth the advisor recommended toggling the airplane mode on then off for 10 seconds each then restart phone. I did that and the device disappeared. Mind you I have toggled the airplane mode and restarted the phone before but I must not have done the airplane mode toggle enough or for long enough. She said this fixes 'issues' with the phone. I really don't know what it was connecting to and why toggling airplane mode seemed to resolve it but here's the thing. I then asked my wife to check her bluetooth settings as she too had upgraded to the iOS 14.3. She saw the same named device and again though connected there was no info button to enable the ability to forget this device. I had her go through the steps of toggling airplane mode and restarting. What do you know it disappeared from her phone. I believe this is a bug with the OS and hope someone looks into it.
