Problem with external DVD reader working with OS 11.1

When I try to connect the Apple SuperDrive or an external DVD drive and try to read a CD-ROM, I can see the drive in Disk Utility but the drive won't mount the disc. It gives the error, "Could not mount "name of disc". (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 49153.) How can I get my Pioneer CVD drive to work!? I am using OS 11.1 = Big Sur on my MacBookPro.

I checked Pioneer. No 107 driver for the Mac, only Windows:

 DVR-107 driver121597739DVRx07_FW118.exe [more]

If I can run Windows Parallel on 11.1 (I think it is available), so I can run exe files, can it download the contents correctly to a DVD reader running on a Mac later without using Windows Parallel?

If YOU have the latest driver, could you make a copy for me that would run on my Mac Book Pro (2018)?

Not sure of the hw/sw limitations.

TY for your reply.

I forgot to add:

My DVD WORKED PROPERLY when I inserted a DVD of images provided by my medical healthcare documents office. I could easily mount the DVD, which showed up separately. The problem comes when I insert any one or three archives of projects made about 2003 of office projects. These showed up earlier without a problem. Now with Big Sur the cannot be mounted. Why?
