iPhone XR blurry and pixelated photos

Hello. After updating to iOS 14.3 on my iPhone XR, the photos from the camera app have been blurry (if i zoom in the photo and then zoom out the blur goes away) but even then they are pixelated. This problem occured after i installed iOS 14.3. Everything was fine on 14.2. I tried closing the camera app and open it again and i also restarted my phone but neither of those steps helped. Also i forgot to mention, if i take photos on the instagram or facebook messenger apps, the photos are fine. The problem only occurs while using the camera app. I really need to fix it cause my camera is literally unusable. Thanks in advance.

Hello kostisgk,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that your photos taken with your native Camera app are blurry until you zoom in, then out.

Do you use iCloud Photos? Before you zoom in on these photos, does it appear that they may be stored in iCloud?

From Settings > Camera > Formats, select Most Compatible and then test for this issue with your photos. This sets your iPhone to capture media using older formats which are compatible with most other devices and operating systems. Learn more about these settings and formats from Using HEIF or HEVC media on Apple devices.

Take care.
