iPhone SE (1st Gen) won't power off with power button

My iPhone won't respond to pressing the power button to turn it off. It will shut it off on its own after no activity, as normal; and the power button works for turning on the phone. Is this a software issue?

Hello,

If you have a case on your phone, remove it and try again. Also see:

Use the side, Home, and other buttons on your iPhone - Apple Support

And see this:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won‘t turn on or is frozen

If no help, I guess that the Power button could be broken. Have it checked: Find Locations

Good luck.
