Why are previously recorded tracks going silent during the area where I recorded on a new track?

Hey there Gilbert,
We'd like to help however we can with GarageBand and recording those tracks.
Normally, when recording over the same track with something else, it'll replace it with the new recording.
As it's difficult to pinpoint the exact issue occurring, along with there being a lot of variables to consider, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support here: Get Support They'd best be able to continue with you on this.
