old iTunes account not paired to new apple ID

My main icloud account is different than my original itunes account (gmail). I've always been able to figure out a way to make it work on my personal devices in terms of icloud vs the other account for itunes purchases. However for family sharing, my organizer account is under my icloud account. My music and movie purchases under my gmail itunes account are not visible to my family. Advice?
