How can I get the app's audio to come through the AirPods? It used to just fine but has stopped since the most recent operating system update.
After the most recent update, some of my apps are not switching to AirPods when I have them on. For example, Duolingo cannot be heard through my AirPods, even though the iPhone is connected to them. Any ideas?

As to your questions, I did hear sound from the AirPods at other times, like on calls or from other apps at times. The issue did happen with other apps, not just Duolingo. The problem seemed to be intermittent and only with some apps. So now, I know to "forget this device" and reconnect. Hopefully that will work going forward.

Just FYI, this issue does keep happening, only with Apple AirPods. When I use other earbuds, like Bose, there is no issue. Since I first wrote and received the instruction to "forget this device" with the AirPods and re-sync, I've done that several times. It also happened with other Apple AirPods that I have, not just the one pair. So I think this is definitely an issue with the AirPods. I'll likely use my Bose earbuds more often to avoid this multi-step process, but would love to know if/when Apple recognizes this issue and finds a fix.
