I have just bought a new Mac book pro but it is on demo Mode and it is asking me a password . Is there a standard password for admin demo mode?

Maybe ask from where you purchased the Mac, and question the fact if this was set up properly for resale...(?)

What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac ...

Did you purchase brand new computer or did you purchase a "new" computer that was used as a sales model? If you were expecting a brand new computer in a sealed box, then you should return it since that is not what you received.

If the computer did not start up to greet you with Setup Assistant, then I would perform a clean install of macOS by first erasing the whole physical drive before reinstalling macOS. Boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R and erase the whole physical drive using these intructions:

I agree that you should ask if it was properly set up.

When a computer is new to you, it should ask for you to set up your own username and password. It's a handy thing to have someone else do it for you, but if they didn't TELL you what the password was, then it seems they've missed a step.

Often times, people will set up the password as blank. In other words, don't type anything in the password field. Just hit enter after typing the username.
