My HP DeskJet F4240 printer kept giving me messages like PDE plugin will damage your computer. I went to the HP website and downloaded their Uninstaller and Easy Admin installer. After uninstalling the software it said drivers were not available.

I use an HP DeskJet F4240 printer with my iMac. When trying to print I kept getting messages that PDE. plugin will damage my computer. The HP website had instructions to use their uninstaller to remove the software and easy admin to add software. When I tried to add the new software I found out it was unable to find drivers for my product. Is there a solution?

Hello, lothar209!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're having issues printing from your iMac. Go to HP Printers - Use HP Easy Admin for macOS to download print and scan solutions see if you are able to find the proper drivers fro your printer. Also, look at HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads.
