Can I use a wireless quick charger 3 with my XR and plug it into my car radio which also charges it, in order to use apple car play? Would having the QC3 charger along with the charging through the car radio hurt the phone or battery? The phone needs to be plugged in to use car play and my trucks phone holder is a QC3 wireless...thanks!

Hmm, the short answer is no. The long answer is possibly.

The most direct method is to connect your phone directly to the car's USB port using a direct USB cable. This will allow the phone to charge as well as make a valid CarPlay connection:

Set up CarPlay with your iPhone

Thanks... maybe I’ll just use the quick charger when not using car play then. I love the quick charging and it’s the only phone holder I have lol
