Macbook pro shuts down while sleeping OS 11.1

I have a 13 in. Macbook Pro (about 2 years old). Since a couple updates ago (I can't remember which) my computer shuts down when asleep for more than 15 minutes or so. When I sign in there is no error message and my browser doesn't say that it shut down unexpectedly (usually). It's just like any time I would turn on my computer when it was off.

I went to system preferences Battery options and I have checked off "do not shut down while sleeping" and I have disabled Power Nap and Put Hard Drive to sleep. That did nothing.

Any suggestions?

You'll only have enterprise management if the computer is owned by someone else. ie, the laptop that I'm using is owned by the company that I work for. They gave it to me to use for work. They install management profiles to allow for automatic updates, the ability to remotely install software, and maintain security on the laptop.

If you open up system preferences, there's a gear looking thing down at the bottom right that says "Profiles." It's unlikely that you can edit or remove the profiles, but it'll tell you if that's indeed what's causing it.

Of course, if your computer is solely owned by you, then the point is moot. You might have a schedule set in your energy saver preferences.

Hi again. I looked and there was no profiles "gear icon". There was something for remote management. elsewhere in preferences. I don't know if that's the same thing. But it's toggled to off. I know that I've had to do all updates, etc myself. If my work needs to do anything with the computer the IT guy would come to the office. So I assume I don't have enterprise managment.

Any other thoughts about why it keeps shutting down?

Nope. If profiles doesn't appear in your System Prefs, then you don't have a device management profile installed.

I've seen some Macs crash when they're asleep, but it's pretty uncommon unless they're connected to an external display or something. For example, you close the lid to put the computer to sleep, then unplug a display. I've seen that cause a crash.

Are you sure it's actually crashing and not just logging you out?
