Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

I have found a solution!

You need to access the store through iTunes (PC).

You need to log in, and when it says you have a problem with your payment option, click view. This will take you to the page with your recent purchases. If you owe the store an item, that would be why it won't let you buy anything without the "Payment option declined" dilemma. Simply click "Pay" if you have either store credit or if you have sufficient funds.

You're welcome.

I'm having the same issue. To try a correct this issue, I changed my method of payment from CC to Paypal on my PC. Now, I can make purchases and download free apps from PC, but not my Iphone. 😠 My Iphone's payment info still reflects the card I previously used as my method of payment and everytime I try to delete this info, it just returns. BTW both the card I used and PayPal are connected to the same account. 😕 Apple needs to fix this issue.

Okay everyone I found out what the problem is . The reason why this has happen is cause you have apps on your ipad that hasn't been finished paid for .. So what you do is make sure to have at leas more then 30$ so that way when you update your payment it will take out the money you owe for the unpaid applications . I owed 12$ when I had put money in my card so I paid it off . Now I can download music and apps .. You don't need to go on your PC to do this . Please let me know if this helped !

Hi everybody, I've got an iPad and I had the same problem you have. I tried again and again with my mastercard, it didn't work. I call my bank. They told me that I would have no problem paying with my card. Then I opened the iTunes on my computer (a Sony with Windows Vista), I went to App store and search for the apps I needed. I tried again with my mastercard. It didn't work. This time I got a message saying: "your card is not accepted in Italy", but I see next to the icons of differents types of credit cards another icon "clickandbuy". I clicked on this icon and fill the form one step after another. Then it worked marvelllously. I hope this would also help you guys to solve your problem.

To all users who suffered from this payment declined nightmare, I tried the following four steps, and these fixed the problem. For my case, I first doubted that maybe that is the problem because of my foreign IP (I am not in my home country now) or there are something wrong with my credit card. But it turns out the problem is "TOTALLY" from Apple's system.

Basically the idea is to re-activate your account in Apple's server, to do this, you have to change some information in your account. Please follow the below procedures step by step:

1. Reset your password, and make sure this time you have a passward which obeys Apple's instruction (i.e. including upper and lowercase letters).

2. Reset your payment option to "NONE", and save the profile by pressing "DONE".

3. Reset your title to whatever you want, just do not the same to the current one you have used. (For example, I changed my title from Mr. to Dr.)

4. Re-enter your credit card information again.

Then...Something is magically fixed, your Apple ID is reborn now.

Hope this helps.

And if this works for you, please reply this post to let other people follow this solution. Thank you.
