Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

I have the same problem. I made an in-app purchase(Injustice app), but forgot that my VISA card had no balance left because I transfered the money on another bank. After a few days iTunes asked me to update my payment method because my card was declined. I then transfered money from Paypal to my bank, even if I already have money iTunes keeps telling me this error:

I then tried changing it to another bank account, but won't accept my VISA card. It says:

User uploaded file


This is so annoying. I can't download or update any apps. Someone help please.

You can try something like itunes gift card and once it settles your balance put back your old card. If you did put money on the card you can try to reenter details of the same card. Or you can check details of another bank account, pay attention to your zip, security code, street name has to be precisely as in your bank/credit card statement.

I haven't been able to purchase any app ever since I bought my iPad 3 last year. Apple is making money and doesn't bother about its customers. I am left with an expensive and useless device. There is no support system from Apple and they provide no help. They have just built communities where people help each other and eat each others head.

I'm really happy with my Android devices, no problem at all! Switch to Android :)

but now i m facing your payment method was declined & update your billing info


when i m updating my billing info there app store charge mi every time 60 Rupees


but problem not slove , i m harrising this problem apple support ***** they r not helping mi this kind of problem


really each & every time my 60 rupees dedicated i dont know y every time they r charg me

After purchasing my new MacMini I tried to download Logic from the german store, which fits my AppleID, but because it is a new device from which I connected to the App Store, it wanted to have again some confirmation of the Billing Info. And here I am, sharing the same f****** problem with all of you.

I made it so far, that I don't even get the declined message anymore. For me it is now

I need Help please!!!!!! Im trying to buy an application on the App Store and it doesn't let me saying that my visa information does not Mach my bank information. The thing is that I have to Visa cards. One of them it's an actuall credit card and the other one, that is actually the one I want to use to pay is a debit card with a visa logo. When I put the information of my credit card with the visa logo it doesn't let me use saying that the given information does not match my bank account records, I don't want to pay with my visa credit card!!!!! I want to pay with my debit card with visa logo!!! Please help me!!!!

1. In case. No "none" button (purchase method)

- because you got some paid apps on your device but itune store dont get the money from your bank.

So apple force you to contact your bank.


-How to check

Go to itune on your pc. Try to buy something. Itune will tell you that your last bill has problem.

And how much you have to pay itune store.


-This problem could happen on holiday when your back system closed.

Some case can solved by it self on bank workday.


-Call your bank.

But dont ask them about your card active or not. The bank will say yes.

Ask them about they blocking itune store. . Ask,them to fix it.



My problem happen when i bought 2nd ipad

I create new apple id with same credit card.

But i cant buy any in-app purchase. So i try and try and try.

This action look like fraud. So the bank block my card. Haha

And then itune store cant collect the money from the bank.

So my first ipad cant buy apps also.

But now its ok^^

Ps. Apple must tell us more info. Not just say" Your card was declined".

apple must tell us to call the bank or anything but more detail.

Hi there,


Just a note FYI - Apple cannot give you more detail because all that any vendor knows when they send a transaction to a bank to be processed is that it is declined. The bank doesn't give Apple any more info than that - Declined. So, there is no more information that they can, in turn, give you.


It's just the same as if you went to the store and tried to use your card and it was declined. The clerk tells you, sorry, your card was declined. That means, every time, that you need to call the bank.

Hi guys,

Please help me to solve this issue.

I'm resident in Qatar and I tried to download an application from US apple store but even with my credit card I can't, and it seems that I am authorized to download payed apps only on Qatari store.

To solve this issue, I hearted that with iTunes card, I have the possibility to purchase deffirents apps even on US store, so I got one.

I scratch the card and I applied the secret code on my apple ID, in that stage, everything is ok and the amount of the card appear on my apple ID.

Finally, I open US apple store in order to download apps but suddenly apple is asking for payment method despite that I have a balance on my apple ID using iTunes card.

I don't understand why !! Normally if I have a balance on my ID, why apple route to my payment methods (visa, MasterCard...) . I returned to point zero and same as before I can' t download from US store even I have a balance .

Please help me to solve this problem as really I feel embarrassed .

Hi, my problem was solved.

First, you need to check the balance on your bank account.

Then, you need to open the itunes on your laptop and sign in. There, you can see "purchase history". Click on that.

Under the purchase history, you can see the amount you owe to Apple. If your balance is lower than the amount you owe, then you need to top up some money to your bank account.

Make sure the amount you want to top up is higher than the amount you owe.

Then, open your apple id account and click payment information..insert back your debit card info and your billing address. Then, click "Done".

That's all.. After you complete this step, under payment method you can see "None" option appears. Try this out!

(Sorry for my bad english, hope you can undertand what I want to share)
